Sunny skies, hungry crowds ... Lansdale's 150th Anniversary served up pure sweetness on June 4 at the Fairmount Fire House, as we brought back the traditional celebration of the spring berry season with the Strawberry Festival!
The Strawberry Festival is one of a few Lansdale traditions from the past that The Lansdale 150 Committee has brought back for a one-time event, returning to its long-time location, the Fairmount Fire Company of Lansdale. It also was held on its traditional date, in conjunction with the big borough-wide Lansdale Day celebration by the Rotary Club of North Penn.
Ice cream, cake and plenty of strawberries were served up to hundreds of folks all day, and prizes were raffled off. Proceeds went to help support the Fairmount Fire Company and the L150 Celebration.
